Haridwar

Haridwar is an ancient and is the most sacred city in India, it was built by King Vikramaditya. Located on the banks of the Ganges, Haridwar is replete with temples, ashrams, ghats and other places of mythological significance. Haridwar is one of the first towns where Ganga emerges from the mountains to touch the planes.

Har Ki Pauri

Har Ki Pauri is the name of a popular and religiously important ghat (riverfront) on the banks of the Ganga river in Haridwar. This place is a mojor attraction for devotees and tourists. It is believed that the river Ganga enters into plain area from the mountains here. Every day, Hari Ki Pauri ghat witnesses hundreds of devotees taking a dip in the river Ganga.

Mansa Devi Temple

Mansa Devi Temple, Haridwar is a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Mansa Devi in the holy city of Haridwar in the Uttarakhand state of India. The temple is located atop the Bilwa Parvat on the Shivalik Hills, the southernmost mountain chain of the Himalayas.

Chandi Devi Temple

The temple is situated atop the Neel Parvat on the Eastern summit of the Sivalik Hills, the southernmost mountain chain of the Himalayas. Chandi Devi Temple was built in 1929 by Suchat Singh in his reign as the King of Kashmir.

Rishikesh

Rishikesh is a beautiful city in the Himalayan foothills beside the Ganges River. The river is considered holy, and the city is renowned as a center for studying yoga and meditation. Temples and ashrams (centers for spiritual studies) line the eastern bank around Swarg Ashram, a traffic-free, alcohol-free and vegetarian enclave upstream from Rishikesh town.The city is closed to Haridwar and Dehradoon.

Laxman Jhula:

Ram Jhula:

Ram Jhula was built by PWD with the help of Shivananda Ashram in 1980. Previously it was a hanging jute ropeway bridge without any pillars. Ram Jhula has attractions like Shivananda Ashram, Swargashram, Beatles Ashram, Yog Niketan, Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Bhawan and many more holy places

Tera Manzil Mandir:

Also known as Trimbakeshwar Temple, this is one of the most renowned temples of Rishikesh. Perched on the banks of River Ganga, the temple (as its name suggests) has 13 storeys and a strikingly beautiful architecture. It can be easily distinguished from afar thanks to its colourful facade.

Triveni Ghat:

It is one of the most famous ghats in Rishikesh and makes for a beautiful place to watch the evening Ganga Aarti. The sanctity of the Ghat comes from the legend that it sees the confluence of three major rivers โ€“ Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.The ghat is considered sacred and if Hindu mythology is to be believed, it is said that a dip in the holy water of Ganga near the ghat can purge all your sins. After all, this ghat has been mentioned in both our epics โ€“ Ramayana and Mahabharata.

The Beatles Ashram:

Located at a distance of around 18 km from the city centre, The Beatles Ashram is among the most important places to visit in Rishikesh. After the Beatles visited the ashram to do transcendental meditation, the outlook on Indian spirituality changed the world over.The time the Beatles spent at the ashram is touted as one of their most productive periods where they wrote plenty of songs. If you are a Beatles fan, you have to visit the ashram and soak in its tranquillity.

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple:

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Nilkanth, an aspect of Lord Shiva. The temple is about 32 km from Rishikesh in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, India. The temple architecture is very much influenced by the Dravidian style of temple architecture.
