MATHURA
Mathura, which lies at the centre of the cultural region of Braj an ancient history and is also believed to be the homeland and birthplace of Krishna, who belonged to the Yadu dynasty. According to the Areological Survey of India plaque at the Mathura Museum the city is mentioned in the oldest Indian epic, the Ramayana.

Shri Krishna Janambhoomi Temple
Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple is located in the holy city of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. It is built around the prison cell in which Lord Krishna’s parents, Mata Devaki and Vasudeva were imprisoned by his evil uncle Kansa. The temple is of great significance for the Hindus as it is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Krishna.

Nidhivan in the Vrindavan is associated with various mysterious facts. According to the devotees and locals, Lord Krishna visits this place and also does the Ras Leela each night in Nidhivan. Due to this reason, the doors of Nidhivan close at 7:00 PM after the evening aarti for priests and devotees. Along with that, it is also believed that birds and other animals also leave this place in the evening.
